Review Overview – What does Primeval Labs Max Test do?
This testosterone booster is sold mostly on Amazon.com. We’ve heard a lot about it and wanted to know how well it performs.
Claimed to promote:
- Testosterone
- Strength
- Energy
- Muscle Mass
We needed to know how effective this product is.
In this review, we look closer at Max Test to see how well it will work for you.
This is what you need to know:
How are the servings?
Not great.
There’s only 1 serving a day with this t-booster.
Although convenient this isn’t good news. Your body can only absorb so much at a time.
For the best results, you need to give your body a constant supply of the nutrients it needs to keep your test levels constantly on the rise.
Ideally this is around 3 – 4 servings per day.
The serving schedule could be handled a lot better here.
What about the ingredients in Primeval Labs Max Test?
They could be better.
Although there are some good ingredients in this product – many are lacking the proper studies to support their claims.
Not only that, this product also contains Arimistane which is a mild steroid which may cause side effects.
The Ingredient List:
- D Aspartic Acid 2000mg
- Tribulus Terrestris 95% 750mg
- Maca Root Powder 250mg
- Fenugreek 200mg
- Magnesium (as oxide) 150mg
- Long Jack Root Powder 100mg
- Arimistane 25mg
- Zinc Oxide 10mg
- Vitamin D3 1000IU
DAA 2000mg
One of the best testosterone producers.
D-Aspartic Acid is used for numerous reactions in the brain which help to raise testosterone.
It helps create more Luteinzing Hormone (LH) – this is your body’s precursor to both growth hormone and testosterone.
It’s backed by numerous studies and full of positive results.
Tribulus Terrestris 95% 750mg
This nutrient however, isn’t backed by a lot of studies.
Tribulus Terrestris has been aggressively marketed in the testosterone boosting market for years.
With no studies to support it.
After being researched it has been found to mildly improve libido – but do nothing to the male hormone.
It’s not a good option.
Maca Root Powder 250mg
Likewise with maca.
There’s a lot of talk – but the studies just aren’t there to back it up.
This nutrient does not promote testosterone – however it may have some minor effect on libido and sex drive.
Fenugreek 200mg
Fenugreek is a better option.
This herb does two things; supports libido and regulates blood sugar.
Why is blood sugar important?
Because that allows you to lower insulin levels.
Insulin has a direct effect on testosterone, and lowers T when I levels are high.
By regulating your blood sugar, you can curb your insulin levels and give your testosterone levels much more ability to grow.
Magnesium (as oxide) 150mg
A mineral that helps raise free testosterone levels.
Magnesium is known to inhibit Sex Hormone Binding Globulin (SHBG) – a protein that binds to testosterone and strips it of its anabolic potency. This essentially makes your testosterone unusable.
By inhibiting the SHBG, your T levels have less risk of being bound to, and more opportunity to grow.
Long Jack Root Powder 100mg
Similar to Tribulus, unfortunately.
LongJack has been thought to raise testosterone, however, studies have shown differently.
It doesn’t influence the male hormone – and at most mildly supports libido.
Arimistane 25mg
Technically a steroid – and banned in sporting events – arimistane lowers estrogen levels.
This can cause the classic side effects of steroids due to causing hormonal imbalances and can be dangerous long term.
Zinc Oxide 10mg
A better and safer option.
Zinc is an essential mineral to the testosterone boosting process.
Just like DAA, zinc is used for numerous processes in the brain to create LH.
LH, being the lutienizing hormone which help promotes growth hormone and testosterone.
Vitamin D3 1000IU
Technically a hormone, Vitamin D3 is a great natural option for boosting testosterone.
However, we do have to say there isn’t enough in Max Test.
Studies have shown for the best results with D3 you need to be taking 3000+ IUs to see any real results.
A third of that isn’t going to cut it.
Ingredients Bottom Line:
On the whole, this isn’t the best nutrient profile on the market.
Just look at the ingredients – you have a set of numerous ineffective ingredients for boosting testosterone, a handful of good choices, and one competition banned steroid.
There are definitely better options out there.
Side Effects
Arimistane is a banned steroid in sporting competitions that can cause the following side effects:
- Joint Pain
- Mood Swings
- Drop in Libido
Which is mainly down to manipulating your estrogen levels.
We highly recommend against using Arimistane.
