Review Overview – What does JYM ZMA by JYM do?

Known for never using proprietary blends, Jim’s supplements are very much ‘what you see is what you get’.

But do they do the job?

JYM ZMA is claimed to:

  • Build Muscle
  • Support Recovery

By how it claims to affect your testosterone levels – but we’re not entirely convinced.

This is what we found when we dug a little deeper into JYM ZMA:

How are the servings?

The Worst.

With only 1 serving per day, your body has to wait an entire 24 hours before its next top up for your T-levels. This gives a big window of time in which your T-levels can revert back to their standard value, adding nothing to your gains.

What you should be looking for:

The best T-Boosters on the market have one thing in common: Plenty of servings.

If you get around 3 – 4 servings from a T-Booster this is a good sign (depending on the ingredients) this keeps your T-levels constantly supplied with the nutrients they need to climb and build you more muscle.

What about the ingredients?

Fair – but basic.

This product only has a slim range of T-Boosting ingredients, which doesn’t give you the most amount support for increasing muscle mass and boosting gains.

Many of the core nutrients have been missed here, like vitamin D3 and D-Aspartic Acid.

The Vitamin B6 has a use here, but it’s debatable…

One of the main things with B6 is it’s claim to lower estrogen levels.

This is all down to how it’s believed to suppress the gene activity of the aromatase enzyme.

This is what turns testosterone into estrogen.

However this is only a problem for older guys approaching 40. If you’re younger and looking to make gains, this won’t make that much of a difference to your T levels.

The Magnesium is good for free testosterone though…

This is mineral is great when it comes to helping out your circulating free testosterone.

This is down to how it works with SHBG – Sex Hormone Binding Globulin – a protein that binds to testosterone and takes away it’s anabolic potency and ability to be used for muscle mass.

This can happen with up to 60% of your testosterone.

Magnesium inhibits the protein and allows you to maintain more of your circulating free T.

The Zinc’s pretty strong too…

A top mineral for producing testosterone.

Zinc is used for reactions in the brain to create the luteinzing hormone (LH) – the precursor to both testosterone and growth hormone.

It’s a good one to have in the stack.

There’s nothing special about the bioperine (black pepper) that just helps with the overall absorption of the product – no T-boosting goodies here.jym-zma-review-1

Ingredients: The Bottom Line

As you can see, for muscle gains, the only real effective ingredients here in JYM ZMA are the magnesium and the zinc.

This is nowhere enough to ensure effective testosterone boosting.

Many of the essential ingredients have been missed out of this product, and that will damage your progress.

We have found no side effects reported with JYM ZMA.

JYM ZMA by JYM Review Conclusion

Overall this product falls pretty short of the mark if you’re looking to boost your testosterone levels.

It does contain Zinc and Magnesium which does help however it’s not enough overall.

A lot more of the core ingredients are needed here to see maximum muscle gains and results. Things like Vitamin D3, Oyster Extract and D-Aspartic Acid would all be good choices, but they’re just not in here.

On top of this the servings are pretty poor as well. With only one a day, your T-levels go an entire 24 hours at a time without a top up.

This is bad when it comes to making progress.
