Review Overview – How does Z-Build work?
Manufactured by FitnessOne, this is an all natural testosterone booster that is claimed to promote:
- Testosterone
- Growth Hormone
- Reduce Estrogen
- Deep Sleep, Repair and Recovery
But just how well does it work?
In this review, we look closer at Z-Build to see how effective it really is.
This is what you need to know:
How are the servings?
Poor.
With only 1 serving a day, you’re going to see slow results.
With only 1 dose every 24 hours, your body absorbs and uses what it’s been supplied with – and runs out of it several hours later.
What you need is something that constantly supplies your body with the nutrients it needs – giving it that regular top up throughout the day that keeps your T-levels constantly on the rise.
What about the ingredients in Z-Build?
On the whole, they’re good – but there’s a problem.
Proprietary Blend.
Sure, there’s good ingredients in here – but you don’t know how much you’re getting of each ingredient or how effective it will be overall.
Certain aspects could be incredibly under-dosed.
This really damages the integrity of the blend.
This is what you need to know:
Magnesium
One of the best minerals for free testosterone.
Magnesium is a great addition to the Z-Build Stack by how it inhibits SHBG.
SHBG is sex hormone binding globulin, a protein in your blood that binds to testosterone and strips it of its anabolic potency – essentially making it useless.
Magnesium inhibits the protein, and takes the hit instead of it being your testosterone.
It’s a good choice.
Zinc
Zinc is better at testosterone production.
Used for numerous reactions in your brain, Zinc is used by your body to create the Luteinzing hormone LH.
This is the precursor to both testosterone and growth hormone, it’s a good addition in this product.
Ashwagandha
More of an indirect testosterone booster.
Ashwagandha doesn’t boost t-levels, but what it does do is regulate cortisol.
Cortisol is the stress hormone in your body which has been seen to directly negate testosterone levels.
With lower cortisol levels – the higher your testosterone levels can rise.
Valerian
A herbal extract that may help reduce stress and anxiety.
However, not a lot of reliable studies are available to support these claims.
Mucuna Pruriens
A better choice.
Mucuna Pruriens contain a good supply of L-Dopa – a nutrient that promotes both serotonin and dopamine in your body.
This can help to lower stress and improve your overall testosterone levels.
Melatonin
Not a testosterone booster.
The main thing that melatonin helps to promote is sleep quality.
This may aid recovery and ties in nicely with Z-Build’s nighttime angle.
L-Theanine
Not a testosterone booster – but may help with mood.
L-Theanine has been see to help raise depressive hormones like GABA and dopamine.
This should help promote a feeling of calmness – which would help before bed.
Tribulus
A poor testosterone booster.
Although aggressively marketed as an effective option – the studies behind this nutrient just aren’t there.
There have been no reliable studies that show this herb to boost testosterone – at most it may have a mild effect on libido.
Boron
A good t-boosting mineral.
Boron has been seen to help improve testosterone and in some case even help reduce estrogen levels.
Stinging Nettle
A good choice for free testosterone.
Stinging Nettle, like magnesium, also has an effect on SHBG.
By inhibiting the protein, it’ll interfere with less testosterone and allow you to have more free testosterone available.
Fenugreek
A good libido booster, and can help with testosterone.
The effects behind fenugreek, all boil down to how it affects your sugar levels.
Insulin which is raised by high blood sugar, directly affects testosterone, and can lower it significantly.
If you regulate your blood sugar, you’ll lower your insulin levels, and give your testosterone a good chance to rise.
DIM
Not a great option.
Extracted from broccoli, DIM is a component that is thought to help reduce estrogen levels.
The outlook for it working has been described as promising – but nothing has been proven or observed.
It’s definitely not a reliable choice.
Ingredients Bottom Line:
On the whole, this isn’t the best nutrient profile we’ve come across – but it’s still pretty good.
The main problem isn’t so much the ingredients – although there are a few bad choices – the main issues are with the proprietary blend.
How do you know how much you’re getting of each ingredient – and how do you know how effective it will be overall?
You could be getting a lot of the ineffective options like Tribulus, and only trace amounts of the rest.
It’s a risky choice.

FitnessOne Z-Build Review Conclusion
All in all, this isn’t the best testosterone booster on the market and there are several reasons why.
From this review, this is what you need to know about Z-Build;
- Poor Servings – With only one serving a day, your body won’t get that constant supply of nutrients to keep T-levels on the ride.
- Proprietary Blend – You don’t know how much you’re getting of each ingredient, or how effective it will be overall. It could be under-dosed.
As you can see, it’s not your best option.
