Review Overview – What does Cellucor’s P6 Xtreme do?

cellucor-p6-xtreme-reviewA natural testosterone booster from Cellucor, P6 Xtreme is thought to increase:

  • Lean Muscle
  • Strength
  • Sexual Health
  • Energy

But how well does it really work?

In this review we looked closely at this testosterone booster to see if it really is worth the money.

This is what we found:

How are the servings?

With only 1 serving a day, there’s only so much benefit you can expect to get out of this testosterone booster.

Hormones need constant encouragement to rise, so ideally you need 3 or 4 servings a day to keep them constantly supplied for the best results.

P.S.: We’ve put together a list of the testosterone boosters that do this the best. You can check them all out in the link below:

What about the ingredients in Cellucor’s P6 Xtreme?

Not great.

Aside from many of the ingredients being poor, the product is mainly a proprietary blend.

This means we don’t know how much of each ingredient we’re getting, or how effective it will be.

This is what we found:cellucor-p6-xtreme-ingredients

Ovine Placenta Powder

Literally cow placenta. There’s not a lot of studies done on this nutrient when looking at testosterone boosting.

It may promote the immune system but there is very limited proof of it boosting testosterone.

Thought to boost cognitive power and may increase your focus at the gym.

However, there is no evidence for this boosting testosterone.

Sceletium Tortuosum

Also known as Kanna, and may be linked to reducing stress, although the on-paper evidence isn’t there.

If it is effective, it may lower stress, and by extension help lower the stress hormone cortisol which could help raise testosterone.

Tribulus Terrestris

One of the poorer performing testosterone boosters.

Trib was originally thought to help boost testosterone, however, no clinical studies ever proved it to be effective.

Unfortunately Trib’s reputation is nothing more than clever marketing.

Eurycoma Longifolia/LongJack

Similar to Tribulus, this nutrient was thought to help boost testosterone. Unfortunately however, there have been no studies to back this up.

A nutrient that has been seen on numerous occasions to help lower stress.

This is ideal for testosterone levels, as the stress hormone cortisol can damage T if not regulated.

Agaricus Bisporus

Also known as white button mushroom which contains Conjugated Linoleic Acid, a stimulant free fat burner.

Unfortunately studies have shown that this nutrient is not effective as it does not have a big enough impact after absorption.

Saw Palmetto

This nutrient doesn’t promote testosterone, but it does help make health.

Seen to have positive effects in numerous studies, Saw Palmetto may help lower the symptoms of enlarged prostates over long term use.

Stinging Nettle

One of the better options for free testosterone.

Stinging Nettle inhibits the protein Sex Hormone Binding Globulin (SHBG) which binds to the male hormone and strips it of its anabolic potency, making it unusable.

The more SHBG that’s inhibited, the less testosterone will be affected.cellucor-p6-xtreme-main-image

Ingredients Bottom Line:

Overall the nutrient profile in Cellucor P6 Xtreme is pretty poor.

The only decent ingredients here are the Ashwagandha and the Stinging Nettle – and unfortunately we don’t know how effective they are because this is a proprietary blend.

There are a lot better options out there.

Cellucor P6 Xtreme Review Conclusion

Overall, this is not a great testosterone booster, and there are a couple reasons why.

This is what you need to know:

  • Poor Servings – With only 1 a day there’s only so much of an impact this T-Booster can have
  • Proprietary Blend – It’s unclear how much we’re getting of each ingredient
  • Ineffective ingredients – Many of the nutrients in this product lack clinical backing

Needless to say, there’s a lot that needs fixing here.
