Review Overview – What does Blue Ox do?
Made by Enhanced Athlete, Blue Ox is all natural testosterone booster which is claimed to promote:
- Testosterone
- Strength
- Muscle Mass
- Sexual Performance
But how well does it really work?
In this review we look closer into Blue Ox to see how effective it really is.
This is what you need to know:
How are the servings?
Poor.
With only one serving a day, your testosterone raising will be slow.
To raise T effectively, your body needs a constant supply of the nutrients it needs.
Only supplying it once every 24 hours gives it a good chance of dropping back down to its lower levels.
It’s not the smart way to do it.
Ideally you need 3 – 4 servings a day, this gives your body that regular supply and keeps your testosterone levels constantly on the rise.
What about the ingredients in Blue Ox?
Not that great.
Although there are some good choices, some of the ingredients aren’t that effective.
Many of the nutrients used are outdated, and lack the proper clinical backing.
Whereas some are under-dosed.
From the main ingredients – this is what you need to know:
Ashwagandha
A good choice.
Linked to reducing stress, Ashwagandha lowers your body’s supply of cortisol – the stress hormone.
This hormone directly affects testosterone levels – the more stressed you are, the lower your T is.
This will help stop cortisol getting in the way of your T-Boosting.
Tribulus Terrestris
One of the poorer performing testosterone boosters out there.
Although aggressively marketed to be effective, there are several studies out there that show otherwise.
There is no reliable link between Tribulus and testosterone levels – the most it has been seen to do is mildly boost libido.
LongJack
A similar nutrient to Tribulus – LongJack is another nutrient thought to boost testosterone, but didn’t really deliver.
Studies have shown LongJack has little to no effect on testosterone levels, and may or may not boost libido.
Stinging Nettle
A good option for free testosterone.
Stinging Nettle is great because of how it effects Sex Hormone Binding Globulin (SHBG). This is the protein that directly effects testosterone levels and strips it of its anabolic potency.
By inhibiting SHBG, Stinging Nettle reduces the amount of testosterone affected by the protein, and gives you more available T.
Magnesium
Another good option.
Magnesium works similarly to Stinging Nettle by also helping to reduce the overall active amount of SHBG.
It’s good that it’s here.
Vitamin D3
One of the better vitamins out there for testosterone.
Technically a hormone, our body typically absorbs Vitamin D3 by the sun – unfortunately, due to modern life demanding we spend a lot of time indoors, we don’t get as much as we need.
Many people are D3 deficient.
Studies have shown taking over 3000 IUS a day can have a dramatic effect on your testosterone levels – in a good way.
Blue Ox is going in the right direction, but with only 1000 IUs per serving, a lot more is needed for real results.
Zinc
Arguably the best mineral for testosterone production.
Used for numerous reactions in the brain. Zinc has been seen to help promote the Luteinzing Hormone (LH) this is the precursor to both testosterone and growth hormone production.
Ingredients Bottom Line:
Although there are some good choices in Blue Ox – there’s a lot of poor ones too.
It uses a lot of outdated ingredients like Tribulus and LongJack.
Not only that, core ingredients like Vitamin D3 are under-dosed. Which damages the overall effectiveness.
It’s not the best blend out there by far.
Side Effects
There have been no side effects reported with Blue Ox.
