Review Overview – What does APE by Athletic Edge do?
APE by Athletic Edge is a testosteorne booster that has been around for a while now, but many of you have been asking if it’s up to standard.
This was a tricky question to answer.
On the website, APE was claimed to:
- Boost Testosterone
- Support Free Testosteorne
- Give an Edge
However, we dug a little deeper and found some interesting facts.

How are the Servings?
Unfortunately, APE only contains 1 serving a day.
This is a pretty big problem. Mainly because there’s only so much your body can absorb at any one given time.
Give it too much, and it just goes to waste – Which is exactly what’s happened here.
What you should be looking for:
The optimum amount of daily servings hover around 3 – 4 a day. This keeps your testosteorne levels continuously topped up and constantly on the rise.

What about the Ingredients?
There’s some good news, and there’s some bad news.
The good news is that this product contains a few of the core ingredients we need to boost testosterone.
The bad news is that it contains many that we don’t.
It’s was a pretty mixed bag, but we summarize it pretty well in our bottom line.
Take a look, we’ve written up the ingredients you should be most concerned with:
The Vitamin D3 is a good start, however we’re not sure it’s enough…
Vitamin D3 is possibly the best natural testosterone boosting nutrient you can come across.
This is because it’s actually a hormone – and one we don’t get enough of on a regular basis.
Studies have shown D3 is a core ingredient to the testosterone boosting process, and it’s good that it’s in Ape.
However, we’re not convinced that there’s enough, as the studies that have shown D3 to be effecive have all been at doses of 3000 IUs or over.
Ape only has 1000 IUs. It may not be as reliable.
We like the B6 as well…
Although not as powerful as Vitamin D3, B6 does have it’s uses.
With it’s ability to slow down the gene activity of the aromatase enzyme, B6 can slow up your production of estrogen.
Estrogen production becomes more of an issue as you get older and probably won’t make much of a difference here.
Still, at least the thought is there.
The Zinc is worth noting too…
Zinc is a great mineral for the production of testosterone.
Used in the brain for the reactions that help create testosterone, Zinc is needed for the Luteinzing Hormone (LH).
This is the hormone that is the precursor to both testosterone and growth hormone.
Great to have on board.
The Glycocarn, is just L-Carnitine, it won’t help T-levels…
L-Carnitine has its benefits, but they’re not needed here.
Usually an energy booster, this amino acid will do nothing for your testosterone levels.
And it may not even help with energy!
With studies suggesting you need at least 500mg of the nutrient to see any results, we don’t actually know how much is in APE.
This is problem when dealing with proprietary blends.
The TestoSurge is good though – It’s literally just Fenugreek…
Fenugreek doesn’t directly boost testosterone levels, but it does have it’s uses.
It increases free testosterone
This is all down to how it affects the protein Sex Hormone Binding Globulin (SHBG) – a protein in the body that binds with up to 60% of your testosterone levels, and strips them of anabolic potency.
So bad for your overall T-levels.
How Fenugreek helps is by reducing your overall blood glucose levels, which in turn reduce the amount of SHBG in your blood stream.
Indole-3-Carbinole isn’t worth shouting about though…
Found in leafy greens and broccoli, this compound is thought to regulate hormonal levels.
However, not much research has been done into this benefit and on the whole it’s seen as unreliable for boosting testosterone.
The Maca and the EuryGold are pretty useless too…
Both of these nutrients were claimed at some point to boost testosterone levels.
Unfortunately, studies have shown that this is true for neither of them.
At most they’ll boost your libido, but even this is unreliable.
Ingredients Bottom Line:
Overall, there are some good ingredients in APE, however too many mistakes have been made to justify it as a good testosterone booster.
The D3 is good but under-dosed, the B6 might not be needed, the Zinc’s okay – but this is all overshadowed by the proprietary blend that contains all other ingredients.
If we don’t know how much of each ingredient is being used, how are we supposed to know how effective they are?
It’s a serious question, and makes you wonder if APE is really worth your time.

Thankfully, even with that proprietary blend, no side effects have been reported with the APE testosterone booster.
APE Testosterone Booster Review Conclusion
As you can see, this is a pretty confused T-Booster.
Although it uses a few good ingredients like Vitamin D3 (although underdosed) and Zinc. It makes many core mistakes:
- Poor Servings: With only 1 serving a day, there’s only so much your body can absorb, and only so much benefit your body can get out of it.
- Proprietary Blends: Many of the big ingredients in APE are masked under a proprietary blend, this stops us knowing how much of each ingredient is being used, or how effective it will be.
- Underdosed D3: Never scrimp on D3, it’s one of the most potent T-boosting nutrients out there, you need 3000+ IUs.
