Review Overview – What does Anabolic Innovations Post Cycle Support do?
Most commonly found by my readers on Amazon.com. AI Post Cycle Support is a natural PCT aimed at guys who have just come off their cycle.
Anabolic Innovations claims it is capable of the following:
- Boosting Testosterone
- Suppressing Estrogen
- Raising Libido
I was disappointed to see that little effort had been made to work at detoxifying the liver – a serious issue if you’ve been using methylated hormones.
That aside, I was interested to see how well this product lived up to the claims it was making.
How does AI Post Cycle Support Work?
The serving scheduling for this product isn’t the best that I’ve seen. There are 2 servings per day – one in the morning and one in the evening, each consisting of 2 capsules.
The best PCT supplements for recovery have around 3 – 4 servings a day to provide maximum effect. They ensure that your body is constantly supplied with the nutrients it needs to make a fast and stable recovery.
2 servings a day will have an effect, however, it’s just not as good as it can be.
I was a little disappointed with the ingredients in this product. There wasn’t much of a focus. There was some effort made with the estrogen blockers/aromatase inhibitors, but any attempt at resetting testosterone levels or detoxifying the liver seemed to be left by the wayside.
The nutrient profile itself was very small, and it doesn’t offer a lot of benefit. Here is my run through of the ingredients:
Originally thought to be a good aromatase inhibitor (estrogen blocker) no conclusive evidence has come forward to support this claim. The only link that I’ve found is that this nutrient can help increase sperm output in rats, which means it can affect the testes.
However, these results are not always the same when scaled up to humans.
Although not that good when supplemented on it’s own Quercetin works a lot better when combined with other nutrients like Reseveratrol – as it helps with absorption of the nutrient. However, this still doesn’t solve the problem of Trans-Resveratrol not being a proven estrogen blocker.
Also known as horny goat weed. This has not been proven to raise testosterone, however it may support raising libido in some users.
This is essentially black pepper and increases your body’s absorption rate. It’s in a range of supplements and is great at getting more out of them.
As you can see, there are many different factors that this PCT supplement lacks. There is nothing in place to help raise testosterone, nor is there anything to account for free testosterone. The only thing AI Post Cycle Support focuses on is blocking estrogen, which has fairly unreliable results with the ingredients its using.
How long should I use it for?
This manufacturer suggests 30 days, however, for the best results with any PCT supplement (assuming the ingredients are all natural) you want to be taking it for around 3 months.
Are there any side effects?
No side effects have been reported with this product.
How much does it cost?
The cheapest I’ve seen it available is on Amazon.com for $23.98
Anabolic Innovations Post Cycle Support Review Conclusion
After a careful and thorough review of AI’s Post Cycle Support, I was surprised by how much it failed to live up to expectations.
The first problem I had with this product is how it’s taken. With only 2 servings a day, the chances of it having a massive impact on your recovery is unlikely. You’re best bet is to go with a PCT that has 3 or 4 doses a day. This will make sure your body constantly has everything it needs to restore optimum hormonal levels.
The ingredients were a let down as well. There was some focus on estrogen blocking however, the nutrients involved in achieving are unreliable. In addition none of the ingredients did any work towards boosting testosterone or detoxifying the liver.
The best it can do is potentially raise your libido.
If you’re looking at this product as part of your PCT, I would suggest against it. There are plenty of stronger, more reliable options over on my top 3 page. You’ll find something more suited to your needs over there.
