Fenugreek 

One of the better options to boost testosterone levels.

By regulating blood sugar, Fenugreek can help lower insulin levels which can help to improve testosterone.

This is because insulin can directly effect and lower T levels.

With less insulin, more testosterone can rise.

Tongkat Ali 

A poorer option.

Also known as LongJack, this is a nutrient that was thought to help raise testosterone levels – it has never been seen in studies.

It is not effective to raise the male hormone, at most it may only help libido.

Oat Extract 

Also known as Avena Sativa. Thought to help promote testosterone, although studies have shown it’s actually not that reliable.

It’s unlike to improve T-levels.

Diindolylmethane (DIM) 

Another nutrient, this one is usually found in brocolli and may reduce estrogen levels.

However there is not much evidence for DIM to actually do this.

It looks promising, but no results have come forward.

Green Tea 

More of a fat burner than a testosterone booster.

Studies have shown that using Green Tea can promote norepinephrine – the fat burning hormone.

It’s a good addition for anyone looking to lose weight and may help shift a few unwanted pounds.

Rhodiola Rosea 

A better option for mood.

As both an anti depressant and anti anxiety, Rhodiola has been seen to promote overall feelings of well-being.

This helps with both mood and focus, allowing you to focus more on your training.

Bitter Orange 

A poorer option, and not a testosterone booster.

Bitter Orange Extract, also known as Synephrine has been thought to promote fat loss and energy – however, studies have shown otherwise.

In reality it does very little to promote fat loss, and may even cause side effects.

Ashwagandha 

A herb that helps reduce overall stress, which could indirectly promote T-levels.

Ashwagandha reduces your body’s levels of the stress hormone cortisol – which has been seen to interfere directly with testosterone.

The less C you have, the better.

Tyrosine 

An anti stressor.

L-Tyrosine has been seen to promote hormones like dopamine and serotonin.

This doesn’t help such with testosterone, but it can help improve overall mood, which can help with motivation and focus.

Velvet Bean/L-Dopa

A better choice.

Also known as Mucuna Pruriens, the L-Dopa in this nutrient has been seen to promote dopamine and lower cortisol.

Stinging Nettle 

A good option for free testosterone.

Stinging Nettle has been seen in numerous studies to help inhibit Sex Hormone Binding Globulin (SHBG).

This is the protein that binds to testosterone and strips it of its anabolic potency.

With more SHBG inhibited, less testosterone is effected, more can circulate in your system.

Deer Antler Velvet

One of the worst nutrients in the industry.

Used mainly for its exotic nature (it’s the furry skin on deer antlers) and believed to promote virility.

However studies have shown it has no effect when it comes to testosterone.
